Select whatever configuration you need (typically “stereo”). You may want to do the same thing for external fx.

Make sure the channels you are going to use for monitor outputs are not used anywhere on this tab. Select the “outputs” tab and review all output channels. Open the VST Connections dialog if not already open.įigure out what sound card outputs you want to use for monitor output. Open “studio tab” and make sure control room is activated. It is possible to use the same channel on a regular audio track for example but this will be a source for endless confusion so do not go there. VERY IMPORTANT: Each control room channel must have its own dedicated hardware channel. Studios and talkback is intended for use when recording musicians and external inputs are nothing we need at the moment. We will only use Monitors here (perhaps phones can be interesting to add as well). Phones, studios, external inputs and talkback.

The manual is pretty decent on the control room as well (and most stuff here is taken from it) and you can find more details there. Note, I will not do anything fancy here, just setup a basic pair of monitors for stereo output. Configuring Cubase 5 Control Room simple monitoring.Ĭonfiguring Cubase 5 Control Room simple monitoring.
